Antonia and her husband Jan owned a zoo in Warsaw, Poland.Her story started when her zoo was bombed and animals released and killed. People who have read this book will understand how good she was with animals and with people in tight situations. The story is not just about the zoo it is also about the war, and animal history. They have to always move away from their villa one way or another but they find other places to stay. This book also talks about the WWII ghettos. I enjoyed this book the most of the ones that our class has read this year. I hope you could enjoy it too.
